Warriors Lock Up Brandin Podziemski With Five-Year, $110 Million Extension
Golden State has agreed to a fully guaranteed five-year, $110 million rookie-scale extension with fan favourite guard Brandin Podziemski, per ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Golden State Warriors have secured a key piece of their future, agreeing to a five-year, $110 million contract extension with guard Brandin Podziemski, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Saturday. Agent Bill Duffy confirmed the details, which include a mutual option for the fifth season in 2031-32, and the deal is fully guaranteed. The 23-year-old was entering the final year of his rookie contract at $5.6 million for the 2026-27 season and will earn $18.9 million in the first year of the extension after avoiding restricted free agency next summer. Podziemski played in all 82 games last season, starting 43 and leading the team in minutes while averaging 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 37.1 percent shooting from three-point range, with his 153 made threes second only to Stephen Curry's 190. Drafted 19th overall out of Santa Clara in 2023, the All-Rookie selection has appeared in 220 games with Golden State, and he is now the fifth player from his draft class to land a rookie-scale extension, joining Victor Wembanyama, Amen and Ausar Thompson, and Keyonte George. The Warriors open the regular season at the Lakers on October 21.
