Wallabies Recall Gordon, Tupou, Hooper and Paisami for Nations Championship Tests

Wallabies coach Les Kiss has named a star-studded squad for November's Nations Championship Tests in the United Kingdom, with flyhalf Carter Gordon, centre Hunter Paisami and the overseas duo of Tom Hooper and Taniela Tupou all returning after missing the Bledisloe Cup series.

Gordon is the headline inclusion after recovering from the fractured fibula he suffered in Argentina, having already battled a hamstring strain that cost him the Tests against Italy and Japan earlier in the year. Paisami returns once his suspension is completed at the end of the month, while Tupou (Racing 92) and Hooper (Exeter) rejoin the squad in the UK after being unavailable for the two Tests against New Zealand. Ben Donaldson and Len Ikitau also return from injury and concussion respectively.

Kiss handed national squad call-ups to two rookies: 23-year-old scrumhalf Teddy Wilson, the former Australia U20 skipper and son of 1999 World Cup winner David Wilson, and loosehead prop Tom Lambert, rewarded for his strong Super Rugby Pacific form with the NSW Waratahs before he links up with the Queensland Reds in 2027.

"There's a real buzz among the squad as we prepare for what will be four incredibly demanding matches against high-quality opposition," Kiss said. "We've made some tough selection calls to keep building depth across the board." The squad, captained by Harry Wilson, will face England, Wales and Scotland on tour. Charlie Cale, Josh Flook, Langi Gleeson, Jake Gordon, Matt Philip, Pete Samu and Will Skelton were unavailable for selection.
