Waddle and Allen Return to Limited Practice as Broncos Eye Chiefs Clash
Jaylen Waddle and Zach Allen returned as limited participants at Broncos practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and defensive lineman Zach Allen returned to practice as limited participants on Thursday, a welcome step forward ahead of Sunday's divisional showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs. Both players had been listed as did-not-participate on Wednesday after picking up injuries in last Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. Waddle aggravated a pre-existing chest injury when he fell on the ball after a botched reverse, a playcall head coach Sean Payton later described as awful, while Allen hurt his hamstring late in his homecoming game but said afterwards that it was not a serious injury. Safety Talanoa Hufanga remained sidelined with an ankle problem and appears in danger of missing a third straight game, but there was better news elsewhere, with star cornerback Pat Surtain II on track to return after missing the last three games. Denver will practise once more on Friday before releasing final game statuses for the Week 8 meeting with the Chiefs, and Waddle's availability will be determined by how he responds to the increased workload.
