Vaishnavi's Maiden Five-For Seals India's 3-0 ODI Sweep of Zimbabwe

India completed a clean sweep of their one-day series against Zimbabwe after a dominant eight-wicket victory in the third match at Vadodara on Wednesday. Left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma was the star of the show, claiming her maiden ODI five-wicket haul with figures of five for 39 from her ten overs as Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 131 in 39.5 overs. The visitors never found any rhythm against a disciplined Indian attack, and the modest target left the home batters with little pressure in the chase. Pratika Rawal anchored the reply with an unbeaten 59 from 56 balls, while Shafali Verma smashed 51 not out from only 26 deliveries as India raced to 133 for two in just 17 overs. The result sealed a 3-0 series win, following on from India's 3-0 sweep of the preceding Twenty20 series against the same opponents. Captain Smriti Mandhana praised her bowlers for keeping Zimbabwe below 140 and described the series as a strong start to the next Women's ODI Championship cycle, with the depth of India's bowling attack once again on full display.
