The unbeaten San Francisco 49ers will be without six starters when they visit the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed in Friday's injury report.

The list is headlined by wide receivers Mike Evans (Achilles tendinitis) and Deebo Samuel (hamstring), plus edge rusher Nick Bosa (calf). Linebacker Garret Wallow (hamstring), safety Marques Sigle (ankle) and linebacker Luke Gifford (groin) are also out. Cornerback Upton Stout, safety Siran Neal and receiver Christian Kirk are questionable.

Evans, 33, left last week's game late in the first half and will miss his first game since joining San Francisco. With a bye week to follow, the 6-0 49ers appear to be taking the cautious route as they eye a 7-0 start before the rest.

The absences test the depth of a roster that has stayed perfect despite mounting injuries — and hand the Falcons a genuine opportunity to derail one of the league's best starts on Sunday.
