Titans Rule Out Safety Amani Hooker for Texans Clash After Concussion Setback
Tennessee Titans safety Amani Hooker will miss Sunday's home game against the Houston Texans after failing to clear concussion protocol, head coach Robert Saleh confirmed Friday, with veteran Tony Adams set to start in his place.

The Tennessee Titans will be without starting safety Amani Hooker when they host the Houston Texans on Sunday. Head coach Robert Saleh confirmed on Friday that Hooker, who has been in the NFL's concussion protocol, will miss the Week 6 matchup at noon CT.
Hooker sat out practice on both Tuesday and Wednesday after reporting concussion symptoms earlier in the week. The eighth-year veteran had been evaluated during last Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens and was allowed to return to that game, but the symptoms resurfaced in the days that followed.
His absence is a blow to a Titans secondary that leans on his playmaking. Hooker has one interception this season, which he returned 92 yards for a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 20, along with 28 tackles and two pass deflections.
Fifth-year veteran Tony Adams is expected to start in Hooker's place. Adams has appeared in four games this season with three tackles and one quarterback hit. He joined Tennessee as a free agent in March after spending his first four NFL seasons with the New York Jets, where he totaled four interceptions and 235 tackles across 57 career games.
