Till Says BKFC Anfield Talks Were 'Way More Serious' Than He Thought
Darren Till says talks over a BKFC show at Liverpool's Anfield stadium were far more advanced than he realised, and believes it could happen next year.

Darren Till has revealed that talks over staging a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event at Anfield were far more serious than he first believed. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show on November 2, the Liverpudlian said BKFC president David Feldman is "really hell-bent" on bringing a show to Liverpool's famous stadium, possibly as soon as next year, although nothing has been formally announced. Till stressed the idea did not come from him, saying the talks were "way more serious than I considered". He has one fight remaining on the three-bout BKFC deal he signed this year, but said Feldman is "massively keen" to re-sign him and that he can see real longevity in bare-knuckle boxing. Till also named the fighters he thinks could headline Anfield, pointing to Paddy Pimblett, who "always wants to do Anfield", and Callum Smith, while dismissing Lorenzo Hunt as not yet a big enough opponent for a stadium show. In the same interview he revealed he had spent two weeks in camp preparing to fight Jake Paul in Dubai on December 24 before Cedric Doumbe was announced as Paul's opponent instead.
