Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links to Open TGL Season Against Defending Champions

Tiger Woods' team will be on display for a season-opening doubleheader when the Tomorrow Golf League opens for play on December 27. Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club will battle the defending champion Los Angeles Golf Club in a title-game rematch as part of the doubleheader, while Brooks Koepka's Motor City Golf Club takes on Boston Common Golf, headed by Rory McIlroy.

The headliner could signal Woods' return to competitive golf. Woods played his last competitive golf at the TGL final in March, though he could elect to return before then. Notably, the PNC Championship is held in Orlando a week before the December 27 opener, and he could choose to play there with his son, Charlie. The TGL, a tech-infused league featuring six three-member teams of PGA pros competing in intimate venues, will again go head-to-head with NFL broadcasts after its ratings climbed on opening day last season.

For golf fans, the doubleheader is a strong way to launch the season: a rematch of the title game, a new franchise in Motor City, and the sport's biggest name back in the spotlight. Whether Woods himself tees it up remains the question that will dominate the build-up, but the league has given itself the best possible stage.
