Tamburlini Holds Firm at Hero Women's Indian Open as 13-Year-Old Saraswat Makes History
Chiara Tamburlini grinded out a 1-under 71 to keep a two-shot lead at the Hero Women's Indian Open after 36 holes, while 13-year-old amateur Ojaswini Saraswat became the youngest Indian ever to make the cut with a stunning 69.

Chiara Tamburlini remains the player to catch in Gurugram. The Swiss golfer followed her opening 67 with a battling 1-under 71 on Friday to reach six-under and hold a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Hero Women's Indian Open at the DLF Golf and Country Club.
Tamburlini made 15 straight pars between birdies at the 10th and 9th — her putter saving her on a day she called "definitely a bit more stressful than yesterday." India's Pranavi Urs, grinding through a stomach bug, posted a second straight 2-under 70 to share second with Argentina's Magdalena Simmermacher at four-under.
The day's biggest story belonged to 13-year-old amateur Ojaswini Saraswat. After an opening 79, the Jaipur schoolgirl fired a superb 3-under 69 to become the youngest Indian ever to make the cut at the event — and the second-youngest player in Ladies European Tour history, behind only Ariya Jutanugarn. Ten Indian players, including two amateurs, made the weekend.
Defending champion Shannon Tan slipped with a 77 to tied 15th, while Vani Kapoor eagled the 14th in a 69 to sit tied seventh. All professionals wore pink ribbons for Hero MotoCorp's breast cancer awareness initiative. Round three begins Saturday at 9:00 am.
