Swift's Three Touchdowns Power Bears' 34-17 Rout of Seahawks on Monday Night
D'Andre Swift scored three second-half touchdowns as Chicago dismantled defending champions Seattle 34-17 at Lumen Field.

The Chicago Bears made a statement on Monday Night Football, dismantling the defending champion Seattle Seahawks 34-17 at Lumen Field to close out Week 8. D'Andre Swift rushed for three second-half touchdowns as Chicago pulled away, and Caleb Williams threw a touchdown pass on the opening drive in a performance of remarkable efficiency against one of the NFL's stingiest defences. Williams completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, committing no turnovers and taking just one sack. Swift finished with 69 yards on 27 carries, with all three of his scores coming after half-time, including the clincher with 4:41 remaining after Sam Darnold's fourth-quarter interception. Chicago gained 363 yards, held Seattle to 252 yards and just one third-down conversion on 11 tries, and led 13-9 at half-time before taking full control. The win, Chicago's third in a row since Williams returned from a hamstring injury, lifted the Bears to 6-2 and within half a game of the NFC North lead. It also completed a sweep of last season's two Super Bowl teams in back-to-back weeks. Seattle, meanwhile, fell to 4-4 after a third loss in four games. Darnold completed 17 of 34 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, and was sacked three times as the Seahawks slipped to .500 at the season's halfway point.
