Super League Referees Earn Rugby League World Cup Call-Ups
Super League referees Liam Moore, Chris Kendall and Tara Jones have been confirmed as officials for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

Three of Super League's leading officials will take center stage at the 2026 Rugby League World Cup after the RFL confirmed that Liam Moore, Chris Kendall and Tara Jones have been selected for tournament duties. The trio head down under for the tournament, which opens on October 15 across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, with the final set for Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on November 15. It is unclear yet which matches they will officiate. Moore brings vast experience, having taken charge of 215 Super League games and four of the last five Grand Finals, plus six games at the 2022 World Cup. Kendall is even more seasoned with 257 Super League appointments to his name and also worked at the 2017 and 2022 tournaments, including as video referee for the 2022 final. Jones completes the trio, earning her place among the sport's elite officials. Their appointments underscore the strength of English officiating ahead of a tournament already building momentum, with Australia's Kangaroos set to open their title defense against New Zealand at Allianz Stadium next Thursday.
