Sinner to Make Comeback at Postponed Six Kings Slam in December

Jannik Sinner will make his comeback at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia after organisers confirmed on Monday that the postponed exhibition event will now take place from December 27 to 30. The Italian has not played since winning Wimbledon in July, when a knee injury brought his season to a halt. Sinner announced earlier this month that he would not compete again in 2026 as he continued his recovery, a decision that ruled him out of the European indoor swing and the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin, where he had triumphed in the last two years. The Six Kings Slam, a lucrative non-ATP exhibition, was originally scheduled for October 21-24 in Riyadh but was moved after an attack on the city's international airport. The event carries extra significance for Sinner, who has won both previous editions of the Six Kings Slam, beating Carlos Alcaraz in each final and earning $6 million on both occasions. Alcaraz will return for the December edition, alongside Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur. Zverev, meanwhile, is guaranteed to finish 2026 as the year-end world number one. For Sinner, December offers a first step back into competitive tennis after five months out, and a chance to test his knee against the sport's biggest names before attention turns to the new season.
