Silva's Late Strike Rescues Dortmund in 2-2 Klassiker Thriller as Kane Misses Penalty
Fábio Silva's 89th-minute equaliser earned Borussia Dortmund a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich after Harry Kane missed a second-half penalty on his first appearance since winning the Ballon d'Or.

Borussia Dortmund twice came from behind to hold Bayern Munich 2-2 in a pulsating Der Klassiker at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, keeping both clubs unbeaten and locked together at the top of the Bundesliga. The draw leaves the champions first on goal difference, with both sides on 18 points after eight matches. Bayern thought they had fallen behind when Jobe Bellingham found the net, only for a VAR review to rule the effort out. Konrad Laimer broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, driving forward after intercepting a stray pass and beating Gregor Kobel at the second attempt. Early in the second half, Harry Kane — who had paraded his Ballon d'Or to the home crowd before kick-off — saw a penalty crash against the crossbar, only his second miss from 27 Bundesliga spot-kicks. Dortmund punished the reprieve when Serhou Guirassy levelled on the hour after Carney Chukwuemeka set him up. Bayern restored their lead six minutes later as Kane nodded Joshua Kimmich's cross back across goal for Dayot Upamecano to finish. But substitute Fábio Silva, teed up by Konstantinos Karetsas, drilled home in the 89th minute to snatch a point, and Bayern nearly won it in stoppage time when Lennart Karl's long-range effort clipped the crossbar.
