Seifert's 93 Powers New Zealand Past India in Hamilton Finale as India Clinch T20I Series 3-2
New Zealand won the fifth and final T20I against India by seven wickets at Seddon Park, Hamilton, chasing down 192 with two overs to spare, but India still took the five-match series 3-2.

New Zealand signed off their home T20I series against India with a convincing win in Hamilton, even though the series trophy was already heading to the visitors. Chasing 192 at Seddon Park, the Black Caps reached their target with two overs remaining to win by seven wickets, a second straight victory to close a series India had already wrapped up by winning the first three matches. Tim Seifert was the star of the chase, falling seven runs short of a maiden T20I hundred with a blistering 93 from just 50 balls, an innings featuring 11 fours and five sixes. He survived an early dropped catch before dragging a delivery from Nitish Kumar Reddy onto his stumps. Glenn Phillips finished the job unbeaten on 65 from 38 balls, and his series tally of 341 runs set a new record for a five-match T20I bilateral series, passing Phil Salt's 331. India had earlier posted 191 for 8 after being put in to bat. Adam Milne struck twice early and finished with 4 for 19. Ishan Kishan (61 off 32) and captain Shreyas Iyer (50 off 22) rebuilt with a 93-run stand off 43 balls, and Naman Dhir added 33 off 23, but India lost momentum at the death. The teams now switch formats to ODIs.
