Schutt Joins Australia's 150-Club as Hosts Rout Bangladesh in Series Opener
Megan Schutt claimed her 150th ODI wicket as Australia crushed Bangladesh by seven wickets in the series opener at Brisbane's Allan Border Field.

Megan Schutt wrote her name into Australian cricket history on Friday as Australia swept Bangladesh aside in the first ODI of the three-match series at Allan Border Field, Brisbane.
The 33-year-old seamer arrived on 149 ODI wickets and wasted no time. She struck with the very first ball of the series, Fargana Hoque edging behind to Phoebe Litchfield at slip, then trapped Sarmin Sultana LBW in the third over to reach the 150 milestone, finishing with 2-19 from 10 overs.
Schutt becomes just the third Australian woman to take 150 ODI wickets, joining Cathryn Fitzpatrick (180) and Ellyse Perry (166).
Bangladesh were dismissed for 166 in 49.4 overs, with Ritu Moni top-scoring on 45 and Annabel Sutherland taking 4-30 to earn player-of-the-match honours. Australia barely broke a sweat in reply: Litchfield hammered 77 off 57 balls as the hosts chased 167 in only 25.4 overs to win by seven wickets. The second match of the series is on Sunday at the same venue.
