Schofield and Bahdi Risk Perfect Records for Vacant WBA Lightweight Crown in Chicago
Unbeaten Floyd Schofield III and Lucas Bahdi collide Saturday night at Chicago's Wintrust Arena for the vacant WBA lightweight title, with a stacked co-main event featuring unified flyweight champion Ricardo Sandoval.

Two undefeated lightweights put everything on the line Saturday night when Floyd "Kid Austin" Schofield III meets "Prince" Lucas Bahdi for the vacant WBA lightweight world championship at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, live worldwide on DAZN.
Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs) and Bahdi (20-0, 15 KOs) are each one victory from a world title, but only one will leave the ring with the belt — the other suffering the first defeat of his professional career. The 12-round main event is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in co-promotion with Most Valuable Promotions, and the winner will claim the championship Gervonta "Tank" Davis held from 2023 until his removal as active champion.
The main card begins at 8 p.m. ET, with the headliners expected to walk to the ring around 10:30 p.m. ET. Schofield enters as a heavy favorite at roughly -795, though both men face questions after long layoffs: Schofield has not fought in more than 15 months, Bahdi in over 13.
The co-feature may be just as explosive. Unified WBA and WBC flyweight champion Ricardo "El Niño" Sandoval (27-2, 18 KOs) makes the first defense of his crowns against Mexico's heavy-hitting Sergio "Yoreme" Mendoza (27-1, 23 KOs), who stepped in after Oscar Collazo withdrew with a rib injury.
Olympian Jahmal Harvey (4-0) faces Pedro Castaneda, and unbeaten Jan Paul Rivera (16-0) takes on Abraham Perfecto on the undercard.
