Reported Iran "Target List" Names F1 and MotoGP Hotels as Gulf Races Stay On

Formula 1's Gulf finale has been dragged into a fresh security row after Iran's Fars news agency circulated what it called an updated retaliation target list that reportedly includes hotels in Qatar with established Formula 1 links. Several of the properties named are said to feature in official Grand Prix hospitality packages, and the report comes after the United States attacked Iran's Qeshm Island on Monday. The list itself is a reported document, not an independently authenticated threat against a specific hotel, but its circulation has sharpened questions already hanging over the region's motorsport calendar. Yamaha announced on Sunday that it would skip this weekend's Qatar MotoGP round at Lusail, despite assurances from MotoGP, after 19 riders signed a letter raising safety concerns. MotoGP has maintained the race will go ahead after consulting the Qatari government, the circuit and independent advisers. Formula 1 continues to insist its Qatar Grand Prix on November 29 and Abu Dhabi finale on December 6 remain on schedule, though teams have reportedly been told November 10 is the final date for approving Imola as a replacement finale. The logistical window for alternatives is closing fast.
