Rams Star Puka Nacua Exits Practice Early With Calf Injury, Sunday Status Uncertain
Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua left Thursday's practice early with a calf injury and was listed as a limited participant, putting his status for Sunday's Week 7 game in Las Vegas in doubt.

The Los Angeles Rams' injury crisis deepened Thursday afternoon when star wide receiver Puka Nacua left practice early with a calf injury. The team subsequently listed him as a limited participant on its official injury report ahead of Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. Nacua was scheduled to address reporters after practice but was unavailable, and his availability for Sunday remains uncertain. Head coach Sean McVay is expected to provide an update Friday morning.
The timing could hardly be worse for the 2-4 Rams, who two days earlier placed fellow wide receiver Davante Adams on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Adams and Nacua have combined for 67 catches this season; all of the Rams' other wide receivers have just 13 catches between them. Losing both would leave Los Angeles extremely thin at the position.
For Nacua, it is yet another frustrating setback in a season already littered with them. He missed two games earlier this year with hip and groin injuries, and the calf issue is an entirely new ailment. The 25-year-old, who led the NFL with 129 catches last season, has 37 receptions for 417 yards and a touchdown in four games this year and is averaging a career-high 9.3 catches per game.
