Quiñones Double Fires Al-Qadsiah to 5-0 Rout at Winless Al-Gharafa
Julián Quiñones scored twice as Al-Qadsiah stormed to a 5-0 AFC Champions League Elite win away at Al-Gharafa in Doha on Monday.

Al-Qadsiah produced a ruthless away performance in Doha on Monday, beating Al-Gharafa 5-0 in the AFC Champions League Elite's western league phase. The Saudi side had the contest effectively settled before half-time, scoring four times in the opening 45 minutes at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium. Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat opened the scoring in the 17th minute, finishing after a pass from Julián Quiñones, and Quiñones himself headed home the second nine minutes later. Yasir Al-Shahrani added a third in the 43rd minute before Quiñones struck again on the stroke of half-time, this time set up by Tijjani Reijnders. The second half brought one more goal, with Mohammed Al-Qahtani completing the scoring in the 81st minute. The result moved Brendan Rodgers' Al-Qadsiah onto eight points from four matches, while Al-Gharafa remain without a point from their four games. Elsewhere on Monday's western card, Al-Ain continued their perfect start by winning 4-1 away at Al-Ittihad in Jeddah, underlining how tight the race for the top eight — and a place in the knockout rounds — is becoming. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the competition are scheduled to be played in Saudi Arabia in April and May.
