Pimblett Vows to Taunt Topuria With Signed Bottle From 2022 Hotel Clash

Paddy Pimblett has revealed he still owns the hand sanitizer bottle he threw at Ilia Topuria during their infamous London hotel clash in 2022 — and he plans to bring it to any future press conference between the pair. The Liverpool lightweight told the How U Livin podcast that he kept the exact bottle, signed it, and now displays it in his gym, ready to sit on the desk if the two are ever matched up. "I hate him," Pimblett said. "He got a push because of the stuff with me. He got pushed fast through the rankings because of it. No one knew who he was." The rivalry began with an online spat involving Topuria's friend Guram Kutateladze before spilling into a hotel lobby scuffle during UFC London fight week, and it flared again when Pimblett entered the cage for an unapproved face-off after Topuria won the lightweight title at UFC 317 in June 2025. Topuria has since lost the title to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250, and Pimblett — beaten by Gaethje in an interim title bout earlier this year before rebounding with a 52-second submission of Benoit Saint-Denis — says he would take a Gaethje rematch first because "Justin's got the belt." UFC chief Dana White has welcomed the idea of Pimblett and Topuria coaching against each other on The Ultimate Fighter, so the bottle may yet get its press-conference moment.
