PGA Tour Champions Unveils 2027 Schedule With New Hawaii Opener

The PGA Tour Champions has unveiled its 2027 schedule, a 27-event calendar that begins with back-to-back tournaments in Hawaii and ends with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at a new home in Phoenix. The 24-event regular season will take players to 18 states and three other countries, with more than $70 million in total prize money on offer across the year.

The most notable change comes right at the start. The Sony Championship Hawaii will make its PGA Tour Champions debut from January 10 to 16 at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, taking the place of the longtime PGA Tour event that was dropped from that circuit's schedule after the 2026 season. It will be followed by the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai from January 17 to 23, with both events featuring Saturday finishes.

Five senior majors headline the season: the Senior PGA Championship from April 15 to 18 at The Concession in Florida, the Regions Tradition from May 13 to 16 in Birmingham, Alabama, the US Senior Open from July 1 to 4 at Oak Tree National in Oklahoma, and the ISPS Handa Senior Open from July 22 to 25 at Royal Porthcawl in Wales, alongside the Hoag Senior Players Championship. The Mitsubishi Electric Classic in Georgia will again use the Modified Stableford format, while the American Family Insurance Championship returns to University Ridge in Wisconsin for the first time since 2024.
