Patriots Place Leading Receiver Mack Hollins on Injured Reserve
New England placed its leading receiver Mack Hollins (calf) on injured reserve, sidelining him at least four games as the Patriots' injury crisis deepens.

The New England Patriots placed leading receiver Mack Hollins on injured reserve on Saturday, ruling the veteran out for at least four games with a calf injury. Hollins, 33, was hurt in the third quarter of last Sunday's 29-26 win over Buffalo and currently leads the team with 15 receptions for 209 yards. His absence is a significant blow to an offense already stretched thin. Hollins becomes the 19th Patriots player on injured reserve this season — already more than the team's entire 2025 total — underlining the depth of the injury crisis in Foxborough. The team also placed fullback Reggie Gilliam (ankle/knee) on IR, while activating special-teamer Brenden Schooler off the non-football injury list and signing cornerback Kindle Vildor to the 53-man roster. There is some relief on the horizon: receiver A.J. Brown (ankle) is eligible to return as soon as Week 6. For Sunday's game against Las Vegas, the Patriots will lean on Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III and Kyle Williams in the receiving corps.
