Pastrnak, McAvoy Run Riot as Bruins Blank Predators 6-0 in TD Garden Rout
David Pastrnak scored twice and added two assists while Charlie McAvoy set up four goals as Boston thrashed Nashville 6-0 on October 22 — the Predators' heaviest defeat in nearly two years.

The Boston Bruins turned in a flawless 60 minutes at TD Garden on Thursday night, dismantling the Nashville Predators 6-0 in a statement win. Casey Mittelstadt opened the scoring at 3:49 of the first period, finishing off a play from Pastrnak and McAvoy, before Elias Lindholm struck on the power play to make it 2-0. The second period belonged entirely to Boston: Pastrnak converted a feed from McAvoy and Pavel Zacha, and JJ Peterka added another off a Pastrnak pass to put the Bruins in total control. Mark Kastelic pushed the lead to five in the third, and Pastrnak capped his four-point night with his second goal late on. Nashville, outmatched from the opening shift, fell to 3-3-3 with a fourth loss in five games — their worst margin of defeat since February 2024. Head coach Andrew Brunette pulled no punches afterwards, calling it "our worst effort of the year by far" and saying his players "forgot to play hockey," blaming a cascade of turnovers and lost battles. Pastrnak, McAvoy and Zacha were named the three stars. The Bruins improve to 8-2-1 and continue to look every bit the Eastern Conference heavyweight, while Nashville's October is sliding off the rails.
