Oklahoma Stuns No. 1 Texas 27-24 on Walk-Off Field Goal in Red River Rivalry
Unranked Oklahoma knocked off No. 1 Texas 27-24 at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, sealing the Red River Rivalry upset on Tate Sandell's 47-yard field goal as time expired after Arch Manning threw two fourth-quarter interceptions.

Oklahoma delivered the biggest upset of the college football season on Saturday, knocking off No. 1 Texas 27-24 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The unranked Sooners sealed the Red River Rivalry thriller on a 47-yard field goal by Tate Sandell as time expired, after Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer drove the offense into range with completions of 13 and 20 yards in the final 19 seconds. The Longhorns led 17-7 at halftime and by seven points entering the fourth quarter, but the game turned when Texas quarterback Arch Manning threw two fourth-quarter interceptions. The first landed in the hands of defensive back Peyton Bowen, who returned it 42 yards for a touchdown and Oklahoma's first lead of the game. Oklahoma also blocked a punt for a score. Manning finished 19-of-31 for 261 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions, and tied the game at 24 on a seven-play, 75-yard drive before his final pass was picked off with 19 seconds left. It was only the third time since 2009 that the AP No. 1 team has fallen to an unranked opponent, and Oklahoma's eighth win ever against a top-ranked team. The victory was sweet redemption for Brent Venables' Sooners, who lost to Michigan in Week 2 and were routed by Georgia the week before. Texas hosts Florida next week.
