NFL Admits Mistake, Rescinds Kyle Juszczyk's Fine for 'Juice Box' Celebration
The NFL withdrew the $14,926 fine it hit 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk with for his Week 2 touchdown celebration, admitting it mistook a juice-box chug for a beer chug.

The NFL made a rare admission of error on Wednesday, rescinding the $14,926 fine it imposed on San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk for his celebration after a touchdown in the Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the league's reversal: officials had originally judged Juszczyk's act — appearing to chug a beer — an offensive demonstration in poor taste, only to conclude the celebration was actually mimicking a child drinking from a juice box. With that clarification, the fine was withdrawn in full.
Juszczyk got a second piece of good news from the league office. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that his original $20,033 fine for unnecessary roughness and using his helmet to make a block in the Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Rams was reduced by about four thousand dollars to $16,000.
The 35-year-old fullback, a fixture in San Francisco's offense, avoided suspension in both cases and continues to be available as the 49ers push through the early weeks of the season. The league's about-face drew immediate attention across the NFL, with the juice-box explanation quickly becoming one of the season's most talked-about officiating footnotes.
