Moicano Says He Will Quit MMA After Three More Fights for Influencer Boxing

Renato Moicano has set a date of sorts on the end of his mixed martial arts career, telling The Ariel Helwani Show that he plans to stop fighting MMA once he has completed three more UFC bouts. The 37-year-old Brazilian said he would rather move into influencer boxing, explaining that money would decide it and that he would box for half a million or a million dollars. His comments came two days after his third-round stoppage defeat to Tom Nolan in the UFC Vegas 123 main event, a result that appears to have sharpened his thinking about what comes next. Moicano also ruled out signing with another MMA promotion after the UFC, saying it would not make sense while he covers the sport on his own YouTube channel and live streams. He has no date set for his return to the octagon, and is currently promoting his Money Moicano MMA 2 event in Sao Paulo on December 5. For a fighter who has built a large following with his outspoken personality, a move into influencer boxing would be a natural next chapter — but first, by his own count, there are three UFC fights still to come.
