Mobley's 27 Powers Cavaliers Past Bucks 136-111 After 48-Point Second Quarter
Evan Mobley scored 27 points and Jarrett Allen added 25 as Cleveland blew open a tight game with a 48-point second quarter and routed Milwaukee 136-111 on Saturday night.

Cleveland turned a one-point game into a rout in the space of a single quarter. Milwaukee led 25-24 after the first period on Saturday night, but the Cavaliers then erupted for 48 points in the second, carrying a 72-46 advantage into half-time and never looking back on their way to a 136-111 victory. Evan Mobley led the way with 27 points on 11-of-16 shooting, while Jarrett Allen added 25 points and 11 rebounds on 12-of-16 from the field. The depth of Cleveland's performance was just as telling as its stars, and the Cavaliers cracked 100 points with more than two minutes left in the third quarter before stretching the lead to 34 points. Milwaukee, who had been routed by Houston earlier in the week, had no answer once Cleveland's offence caught fire, with Kel'el Ware's 19 points and Tyler Herro's 15 unable to stem the tide. The win moves Cleveland to 4-2 and marks a strong response after their three-game winning run was snapped in Atlanta on Thursday. For Milwaukee, now 1-5, the problems are mounting: a second straight heavy defeat and a fifth loss in six games to start the season. Cleveland's second-quarter blitz will be the lasting image, a 12-minute stretch in which the game went from contest to procession.
