MLB Reveals 2026 Awards Finalists as Brewers Lead the Honours Chase

Major League Baseball's awards season is officially underway, with the finalists for the game's biggest individual honours revealed on Monday. The contenders for MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year and Reliever of the Year include many of the players and managers who defined the 2026 season, and the winners will be announced during the week of November 9. Unsurprisingly, the world champion Milwaukee Brewers feature heavily after a franchise-record 103-win season and their first World Series title. Among the names revealed are Brewers second baseman Brice Turang, a National League MVP finalist after hitting .268 with 21 home runs, 100 runs batted in and 102 runs scored in 151 games, along with a Gold Glove. Brewers manager Pat Murphy is a National League Manager of the Year finalist after guiding Milwaukee to the NL Central crown, the pennant and the championship, alongside the Phillies' Don Mattingly and the Braves' Walt Weiss. Tampa Bay's Kevin Cash is among the American League managerial finalists after a 98-win season that delivered the AL East and a pennant. On the mound, Brewers youngster Jacob Misiorowski is a National League Cy Young finalist after going 16-5 with a 1.80 earned run average and 252 strikeouts. The full lists confirm what the season already suggested: 2026 belonged, more than any other club, to Milwaukee.
