McGregor Vows His Final UFC Fight Will Outsell Canelo
Conor McGregor says his final contracted UFC fight will break his own box-office records, posting the vow on social media after Canelo Alvarez's win on Saturday.

Conor McGregor has promised that his final UFC fight will be the biggest-selling event of his career, taking to social media on Sunday in the aftermath of Canelo Alvarez's return to the ring on Saturday night. The former two-division UFC champion questioned the viewing figures, attendance and gate of Alvarez's unanimous-decision win over Christian Mbilli in Riyadh, insisting he outperforms every fighter in combat sports at the box office. "How many views did the Canelo fight get? How many in attendance? Gate? Man I outdo ALL of these people in sales. Majorly. EVERY SINGLE ONE. With ease. Maybe even combined," McGregor wrote on X. "I'm going to actually try to sell the fight for my next one. My final fight. See what numbers I can generate. Keep outdoing my own records." McGregor has one fight remaining on his current UFC contract and has targeted International Fight Week in 2027 for his comeback, which he has described as his "last dance" in the Octagon. His return at UFC 329 in July ended early through a knee injury, and he has been recovering from surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus since. No opponent or date has been announced, and the UFC has not confirmed any return bout.
