Love Cleared to Return as Cardinals Face Cowboys

Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love will play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday. The rookie first-round pick has missed the last two games with an ankle injury but completed a third straight practice this week and was deemed good to go by head coach Mike LaFleur. "The rest was needed," Love said on Friday. "It helped me get back to myself … I ain't myself if I ain't got my ankles." His return is a timely boost for an Arizona side facing a Dallas defence ranked 29th in the league, giving up 373.7 yards per game, though the Cowboys themselves sit at 3-4 and know every game is critical from here. Love was the shock No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, signing a four-year, $53.02 million fully guaranteed contract that made him the highest-paid running back in NFL history by total contract value. Arizona will hope his burst and receiving ability can stretch a Dallas defence that has struggled all season, while the Cowboys must find a way to slow a player they have barely seen at full speed.
