Lindholm's OT Winner Caps Bruins' Stunning Comeback Over Blackhawks

Elias Lindholm scored at 2:32 of overtime as the Boston Bruins completed a remarkable comeback to beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 at TD Garden on Saturday afternoon. Boston trailed 4-2 in the third period before Mason Lohrei pulled one back and Morgan Geekie tied the game in the final seconds. Lindholm then finished the job in overtime, taking Charlie McAvoy's assist, driving hard to the front of the net and slotting the winner past Chicago goaltender Arvid Soderblom. Michael DiPietro made 37 saves for Boston, including a breakaway stop to deny Anton Frondell a hat-trick at the other end in overtime. There were milestones elsewhere in the game. David Pastrnak, who also scored for Boston, passed Patrice Bergeron for third on the franchise's all-time goals list with his 428th, while Chicago's Patrick Kane became the first American-born player to reach 900 career assists on Frondell's opening goal. Frondell scored twice for the Blackhawks, but Chicago could not hold on as Boston improved to 10-4-1.
