LeBron's 76ers Erase 29-Point Deficit to Stun Cavaliers 114-106 in Home Opener
The Philadelphia 76ers wiped out a 29-point deficit to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-106 in LeBron James' home debut — the biggest comeback victory of his career.

Philadelphia's home opener will live long in the memory. The 76ers trailed the Cleveland Cavaliers by 29 points at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Thursday night and still found a way to win 114-106, completing the largest comeback victory in LeBron James' career and the biggest rally of the play-by-play era in franchise history. Tyrese Maxey was the engine, scoring 32 points and sparking a 15-0 fourth-quarter run that gave Philadelphia its first lead of the night. Joel Embiid added 24 points, James contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds in his first game in Philadelphia colors, and fellow newcomer Jaylen Brown scored 21, including 10 in the final period. All five starters finished in double figures as the Sixers outscored Cleveland 37-21 in the third quarter and 32-16 in the fourth. Donovan Mitchell poured in 32 points for the Cavaliers, who had led 69-45 at halftime before melting down in the second half. It was Cleveland's largest blown lead in franchise history — and the win moves Philadelphia to 2-0, following the season-opening victory over the champion Knicks.
