Lawrence Needs Just 14 Passes as Jaguars Humiliate Colts 42-7
Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes on only 14 attempts as Jacksonville routed Indianapolis 42-7 at EverBank Stadium, moving to 5-2 and leaving the Colts at 2-6.

Trevor Lawrence barely had to break a sweat as the Jacksonville Jaguars dismantled the Indianapolis Colts 42-7 at EverBank Stadium on Sunday. Lawrence completed 10 of 14 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns, good for a 153.3 passer rating, and the Jaguars led 28-0 by half-time in the widest winning margin of the NFL's Sunday slate. Lawrence spread his touchdowns around, finding Brian Thomas Jr. from 12 yards, Nate Boerkircher from 31 and Bhayshul Tuten from 25. Tuten was the game's standout, finishing with 159 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, including 104 yards rushing. The defence joined in too: Rayuan Lane III intercepted Daniel Jones at Jacksonville's eight-yard line in the final seconds of the first half and returned it 92 yards for a touchdown, and the Jaguars outgained Indianapolis 366-243. The Colts, playing their first game since trading away DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson, never recovered. Jones finished 19 of 28 for 144 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, and their only score came on a six-yard pass to Josh Downs in the third quarter. Anthony Richardson made his season debut in the fourth quarter. Jacksonville, now 5-2 after its bye week, rested its starters late with a short-week trip to Baltimore ahead, while Indianapolis fell to 2-6 with its fourth straight loss.
