Last Unbeaten Team Standing: Grizzlies Rocket Up NBA Power Rankings
Memphis, the NBA's last undefeated team, shot up 12 spots to No. 5 in NBC Sports' weekly power rankings published on November 2.

The Memphis Grizzlies are the NBA's last undefeated team, and the latest weekly power rankings reflect just how surprising their start has been. In NBC Sports' rankings published on November 2, Memphis shot up 12 places to No. 5, a remarkable climb for a team the same author had ranked 25th before the season began. Portland were another big mover, jumping seven spots to No. 9 behind the entertaining play of Ja Morant, Damian Lillard and Deni Avdija, although Morant is now sidelined for a month or more with a hamstring strain. Golden State flew up 16 places to No. 12, while Dallas climbed 11 spots to No. 10 after beating two previously undefeated teams, Oklahoma City and Houston, in the same week. Houston held on to No. 1 despite that defeat, and Boston kept winning behind a hot Jayson Tatum to move up five places to No. 4. At the other end, no team has fallen harder than Oklahoma City, hit by season-altering injuries to Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Chet Holmgren. Minnesota dropped nine spots to No. 13 with Anthony Edwards set for knee surgery, and Toronto fell seven to No. 14 as Kawhi Leonard's knee swelling derailed their defence.
