Lamar Jackson Set to Return Against Bills After Missing Three Games

The Baltimore Ravens are set to have their franchise quarterback back. Lamar Jackson practiced fully on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and carries no game-status designation, putting him on track to play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8 on Sunday. Jackson has been sidelined for the last three games with a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 4. Head coach Jesse Minter told reporters on Friday that the team expected to have its two-time NFL MVP available, saying he had enjoyed "a really good week of practice". Jackson himself acknowledged on Friday that he still feels pain when planting his foot, and he sat out Week 7 after his ankle swelled again — but the signs now point to a return. His comeback would significantly boost an offense that has failed to score in the second half of its past two games. Veteran Tyler Huntley started all three games without Jackson, leading the Ravens to a 1-2 record, and would return to the backup job if Jackson suits up as expected. Baltimore released its final injury report on Friday, ruling out starting right guard Vega Ioane with a knee injury and safety Jaylinn Hawkins, while running back Adam Randall and cornerback T.J. Tampa Jr. are listed as questionable. The Ravens finalize their active roster before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Highmark Stadium.
