Lamar Jackson Logs Second Straight Full Practice as Ravens Return Nears
Lamar Jackson practised fully for a second straight day on Thursday and is on track to return for Baltimore's Week 8 trip to Buffalo after missing three games with a high ankle sprain.

Lamar Jackson took another major step toward his return on Thursday, practising fully for a second consecutive day as the Baltimore Ravens prepare for Sunday's Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills. The two-time MVP has not played since leaving the Week 4 win over Tennessee at half-time with a high ankle sprain, missing the last three games, but he was a full participant on Wednesday — handling all of the first-team quarterback work — and backed it up again on Thursday. CBS Sports reported Jackson is on track to play on Sunday, although the Ravens will not issue official injury designations until Friday, and head coach Jesse Minter has stopped short of confirming his starter. Baltimore has gone 1-2 without Jackson, dropping its last two games to fall to 4-3 and last place in the AFC North, scoring just 23 points across those two defeats. Before the injury Jackson had completed 70.8 percent of his passes for 967 yards, six touchdowns and one interception in four games, adding 144 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Team-mate Zay Flowers said seeing Jackson back on the practice field lifted the whole squad, adding that the quarterback simply wants to play when fully healthy.
