Kolo Muani Stars as Juventus End AZ Alkmaar's Three-Year Home European Run
Randal Kolo Muani scored one and set up the other as Juventus beat AZ Alkmaar 2-1 in the Europa League, ending the Dutch side's three-plus-year unbeaten home run in Europe.

Juventus ended AZ Alkmaar's unbeaten home run in Europe with a 2-1 Europa League victory at the AFAS Stadion on Thursday night, moving on to ten points from their first four league-phase matches. Randal Kolo Muani was at the heart of both goals. The French forward turned provider in the 19th minute, beating his man down the right and pulling the ball back for Teun Koopmeiners, who swept home a low left-footed finish against his former club. Koopmeiners chose not to celebrate against the side where he made his name. Kolo Muani then doubled the lead in the 37th minute, winning the ball back high up the pitch before exchanging passes with Nick Woltemade and bending a first-time finish into the far corner. Juventus went into the break two goals clear and in full control. AZ, unbeaten at home in Europe for more than three years, pushed back after the interval and finally found a way through in the 88th minute, when substitute Mexx Meerdink tapped in from Elijah Dijkstra's cross. The hosts thought they had snatched a dramatic equaliser in stoppage time, but Meerdink's header was ruled out for offside after Guglielmo Vicario's fine save, and Juventus held on for a third win of the campaign.
