Kiwis Leave Door Open for Ponga Comeback as Mulitalo Sweats on Judiciary
New Zealand coach Stacey Jones says Kalyn Ponga could still return from a broken arm for the World Cup semi-final, while winger Ronaldo Mulitalo faces a judiciary wait after his send-off against Fiji.

New Zealand's stunning 78-0 World Cup quarter-final win over Fiji has left coach Stacey Jones with two very different selection headaches ahead of next weekend's semi-final. The first is a welcome one: superstar fullback Kalyn Ponga, whose tournament was thought to be over after he broke his arm against Australia in the opening match, trained this week and remains a chance of a remarkable comeback. Jones said he would have a clearer picture after this weekend, recalling that when the injury happened, Ponga insisted: "I'm coming back". The second is less welcome. Winger Ronaldo Mulitalo was sent off in the 52nd minute against Fiji for a high shot on Ronald Philitoga and now faces a nervous wait for the judiciary charge sheet, with a suspension potentially ruling him out for the rest of the tournament. New Zealand will face the winner of Sunday's showdown between Tonga and Samoa in next weekend's semi-final.
