Jillaroos Name Strong Side for Historic Fiji Semi-Final in Sydney
Australia have named a powerful Jillaroos team for Sunday's World Cup semi-final against Fiji Bulikula at Allianz Stadium.

Australian Jillaroos coach Jess Skinner has named a strong side for Sunday's historic Rugby League World Cup semi-final against Fiji Bulikula at Allianz Stadium in Sydney. Props Simaima Taufa and Millie Elliott return to the team after sitting out last week's record win over Wales, while Tiana Penitani Gray is set to reprise her role in the second row after being sidelined with a foot complaint. In the halves, Jocelyn Kelleher returns alongside halfback Tarryn Aiken, reprising the partnership forged in the opening two wins of the pool stages. The semi-final, kicking off at 5:45pm AEDT on Sunday, November 8, is a landmark occasion for Fiji, who have reached the last four in their tournament debut. The Bulikula posted strong wins over Papua New Guinea and France and pushed the Kiwi Ferns all the way in their opening match, and the two sides have not met in a Test match since 1998. Skinner said she had been impressed with how Fiji had played their style of football across the park, and stressed that the Jillaroos would need to be well prepared. The women's semi-final will be followed at the same venue by the men's semi-final between Australia and Samoa at 8:05pm, making Sunday a double-header with two places in the World Cup final at stake.
