Cricket West Indies has announced its international retainer contracts for the 2026-27 season, with fifteen men and fifteen women receiving senior deals and three more men handed development contracts. Amir Jangoo, Matthew Forde and Mandy Mangru have all earned their first senior international retainers. Jangoo's call-up caps a fine year in which he struck a century on the opening day of the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh in Sylhet, while Forde has forced his way in with his all-round performances. Mangru was part of the West Indies squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup. Opener John Campbell also returns to the contracted list for the first time since 2019 after a productive season, while Alick Athanaze, Brandon King, Romario Shepherd and Qiana Joseph are among those to miss out. Shai Hope, Roston Chase and Hayley Matthews remain the captains at the core of the group, with Chase leading the Test side, Hope in charge of the white-ball teams and Matthews captaining the women. All contracts run from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027. Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe said the men's first job is the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier in February, while the women face Pakistan in ODIs in December with automatic qualification for the next Women's World Cup at stake.
