Jake Paul is officially cleared to fight again. Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian announced Thursday, October 8, that the 12-2 cruiserweight has been medically cleared to return to the ring, nearly ten months after Anthony Joshua broke his jaw in two places in their December 2025 bout in Miami. Paul needed two surgeries to repair the damage, per reports. Hours before the clearance was announced, Paul stirred the boxing world with a wish list posted on X on Wednesday night. Opening with "Before I rest…" the 14-line list named Canelo Alvarez, Francis Ngannou, Conor McGregor (listed for both boxing and MMA), Sean Strickland, Darren Till, Ryan Garcia, KSI, Chris Eubank, Edgar Berlanga, Tom Aspinall (boxing), Deontay Wilder and Nate Diaz (MMA) — plus a pointed "Midget who ruined our fight" widely read as a shot at Gervonta Davis, and a closing "World Title." The post drew nearly 1.5 million impressions by Thursday afternoon and tagged Bidarian with "Make it happen." No opponent or date has been announced yet, and Paul is also targeting a 2027 MMA debut after the MVP-PFL merger, per Athlon Sports.
