The ICC has revealed its Player of the Month nominees for October 2026, with West Indies captain Shai Hope leading the men's shortlist after a remarkable run of form against India. Hope struck three unbeaten centuries in five T20 internationals during the month, scoring 261 runs at a strike rate of 190.51. His highlights included 162 not out in the opening match at New Chandigarh and 102 not out in the second game at Ranchi, with a third unbeaten knock in Hyderabad completing one of the finest T20 series ever produced by a West Indies batter. South Africa all-rounder Marco Jansen and Pakistan's Arafat Minhas complete the men's shortlist. On the women's side, Bangladesh's Sobhana Mostary is nominated after her 118 from 134 balls in the second ODI at Brisbane, the highest score by a Bangladesh woman against Australia. Australia's Annabel Sutherland also features after scoring 99 runs and taking six wickets as her side swept Bangladesh 3-0, while India's Deepti Sharma earns a place for her all-round contribution to a 3-0 ODI series win over Zimbabwe at home.
