Austin Hitt shot a final-round 66 to win the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in Virginia and jump from No. 22 to No. 6 on the points list, earning his 2027 PGA Tour card — while 19-year-old runner-up Blades Brown became the youngest player ever to earn a Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour.

Austin Hitt took the one route that makes every points projection irrelevant. Starting the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at No. 22 on the points list — two spots outside the number that mattered — the 28-year-old former North Carolina Tar Heel closed with a 5-under 66 at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia, on Sunday to win by two shots and secure his 2027 PGA Tour card in style.

Hitt's first Korn Ferry Tour victory came in his 78th start and was worth $270,000 from the $1.5 million purse. His 20-under 264 total (68-62-68-66) was built around a decisive birdie-birdie-eagle burst on Nos. 8 through 10, including a 109-yard hole-out for eagle on the par-5 10th — all played in persistent rain.

The other half of the story belonged to runner-up Blades Brown. The 19-year-old closed with a 69 to finish solo second, climbing to ninth on the final points list. At 19 years, 4 months and 20 days, Brown became the youngest player ever to earn a PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour, surpassing Jason Day.

Twenty players secured 2027 PGA Tour cards at the finale. Hitt began the week needing roughly a top-44 finish just to have a chance; he ended it a champion.
