Hakimi's Hat-Trick and Two Assists Fire PSG to 5-1 Rout at Le Havre

Achraf Hakimi produced a one-man show on Friday night as Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to thrash Le Havre 5-1 and extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1. The Morocco full-back scored a hat-trick and laid on two more goals in a performance that underlined why the European champions keep finding ways to win even with several regulars injured. Le Havre briefly dared to dream when Josh Maja gave the bottom club an early lead, but Hakimi set up Mika Godts for the equaliser before putting PSG ahead himself in the 28th minute with a shot at the near post. A free kick into the bottom corner in the 55th minute made it 3-1 after Senny Mayulu had been involved, and Mayulu finished a counter-attack Hakimi started in the 62nd minute. Hakimi completed his treble with a deflected effort in the 69th minute. It was PSG's ninth consecutive victory in all competitions, taking them to 20 points from nine league games. They sit two points clear of Lille, who beat Lens 1-0 thanks to an 86th-minute winner from veteran Olivier Giroud, and four ahead of Rennes, who were thumped 5-2 at Nice as Elye Wahi scored a hat-trick of his own. Le Havre, meanwhile, suffered a fifth straight defeat and remain bottom with just two points.
