Gauthier's Hat Trick Caps Ducks' Stunning Rally From 3-0 Down to Beat Senators 6-3
Cutter Gauthier scored a hat trick and the Anaheim Ducks scored six unanswered goals to beat the Ottawa Senators 6-3 after trailing by three after the first period.

The Anaheim Ducks produced one of the comebacks of the NHL season on Sunday night, storming back from 3-0 down to beat the Ottawa Senators 6-3 at Honda Center. Ottawa looked in complete control after the first period, with Philip Tomasino, Claude Giroux and Michael Amadio all scoring, but the game turned just 95 seconds into the second period when Cutter Gauthier pounced on a mishandled puck in front of the Senators' net. Judd Caulfield cut the gap to one goal and then tied the game 3-3 on the power play late in the period, before Gauthier took over in the third. The young winger scored twice in 36 seconds on the power play, first sliding a wrist shot under Jonas Johansson's pad during a five-on-three and then rifling home a one-timer from the right circle to complete his second career hat trick. Roger McQueen added a fourth Anaheim power-play goal to seal a win that was only the Ducks' second in nine games, while Leo Carlsson collected three assists. Ottawa, who lost three of four on their western road trip, were left to rue a collapse that turned a comfortable lead into a heavy defeat.
