Forest Let Another Lead Slip as Enciso Earns Ipswich a Point at Portman Road
Nottingham Forest twice in two weeks dropped points from a winning position, settling for a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town after Julio Enciso cancelled out Neco Williams' opener on Friday night.

Nottingham Forest's wait for a Premier League win goes on after they let another lead slip in Friday night's 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town. The visitors looked in control when Neco Williams volleyed home Daniel Muñoz's deep cross after just 13 minutes, marking the Welshman's 150th Premier League appearance. But just as in their draw with Crystal Palace a fortnight ago, Forest could not protect the advantage. Four minutes before half-time, Nikola Milenković dwelt too long on the ball near halfway and his short backpass was pounced on by Julio Enciso, who ran clear and slotted calmly past Matz Sels for his first Ipswich goal since his summer arrival. The big flashpoint came three minutes into the second half when Issa Diop hauled down James McAtee as the Forest midfielder raced toward goal. After a VAR review, referee Thomas Bramall showed only a yellow card, judging McAtee had taken the ball away from goal — a decision Forest coach Oliver Glasner called wrong, though he refused to blame the official. Forest dominated the second half but found Christian Walton in fine form, and Ipswich — who moved up to ninth — held on. Forest climbed out of the bottom three at least for Friday night, but the two dropped points will sting a side that created enough to win.
