Flyers Activate Konecny and Tippett Off Injured Reserve
The Philadelphia Flyers have activated forwards Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett off injured reserve, giving their struggling attack a major boost.

The Philadelphia Flyers received a significant boost on Sunday with the activation of forwards Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett off injured reserve. The team announced the moves ahead of its home game against the Utah Mammoth, restoring two of its most important attacking pieces at once. Konecny, 29, had missed Philadelphia's last 10 games with a lower-body injury suffered in a 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators on October 8. Tippett, 27, had been sidelined for the last six games with an upper-body injury picked up in a 2-1 defeat to the Detroit Red Wings on October 15. Their returns could hardly come at a better time for a Flyers side sitting last in the Metropolitan Division with 10 points through 15 games. Philadelphia has struggled for goals during their absence, and getting both players back together gives the coaching staff far more options through the top six. After hosting Utah on Sunday, the Flyers finish a short two-game homestand against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, when both returnees will hope to make an immediate impact.
