The Baltimore Ravens moved aggressively to fix their battered offensive line on Wednesday, acquiring two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens from the Philadelphia Eagles. The Ravens announced the deal, sending a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round selection to Philadelphia in exchange for Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

Baltimore's need is acute. The Ravens lost three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency, then watched initial replacements Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic all land on injured reserve with long-term injuries. First-round rookie Vega Ioane, drafted as a guard, has been filling in at center since a Week 4 win over Tennessee.

Jurgens, 27, gives Baltimore an established starter. A second-round pick out of Nebraska in 2022, he began at right guard before succeeding Jason Kelce at center, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2024 and 2025 and helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX. He played through a back injury so severe during that title run that he said it was "hard to walk," then had surgery afterward. He signed a four-year, $68 million extension in 2025 and is under contract through 2029. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta called him a great scheme and cultural fit who will contribute quickly.

One catch: Jurgens self-reported concussion symptoms Monday after the loss to the Rams and entered the protocol, leaving his Sunday Night Football debut against the Falcons in doubt. In Philadelphia, where Lane Johnson retired a day earlier, fifth-round pick Drew Kendall is projected to take over at center.
