Duckett's 167 Powers England to 55-Run Consolation Win Over Sri Lanka
Ben Duckett smashed 167 off 132 balls as England closed their Pakistan ODI tri-series campaign with a 55-run victory over Sri Lanka in Lahore.

Ben Duckett produced a commanding century to guide England to a 55-run win over Sri Lanka in the sixth match of the Pakistan ODI tri-series at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on October 29. Duckett struck 167 from 132 balls as England piled up 386 for five, with Tom Banton providing strong support at the top of the order with 74. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 331 in reply, handing England a victory that ended a run of three straight defeats. The match was a dead rubber for England, who had already been eliminated from the competition, but the performance gave the side a positive note on which to finish the group stage. Duckett's innings carried extra significance given his record at this venue: he has now struck back-to-back centuries in the tri-series and finished with two hundreds in as many innings at Gaddafi Stadium during the tournament. Harry Brook, Will Jacks, Jordan Cox and Sam Curran all contributed useful cameos around the two main scorers. Earlier in the competition England had posted 429 against Sri Lanka in a previous meeting on October 22 but were unable to defend that total, so this time there was no late collapse. Asitha Fernando picked up two wickets for Sri Lanka, while Eshan Malinga endured a difficult day, finishing with figures of one for 101 from his ten overs.
