Daniels' Career Night on the Boards Powers Hawks Past Wizards 120-105
Dyson Daniels grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Washington Wizards 120-105 in Washington on Wednesday night.

The Atlanta Hawks turned a night on the glass into a comfortable road win, beating the Washington Wizards 120-105 on Wednesday night at Capital One Arena. Dyson Daniels led the effort with a career-high 16 rebounds to go with eight points and eight assists in 34 minutes. The Australian guard, known across the league for his steals, did not record one on the night, ending a run of 24 straight games with at least one takeaway. He still finished plus-21, the best mark of any player in the game. Nickeil Alexander-Walker paced the scoring with 26 points, hitting six of 14 from three-point range as Atlanta buried 19 threes in total. Onyeka Okongwu added 14 points and 16 rebounds of his own, and the Hawks finished with a 63-48 edge on the boards. Atlanta did it without Jalen Johnson, who missed a second straight game with a sprained left ankle, and still recorded a third win in four games to move to 5-4. Washington had its two-game winning streak snapped despite a double-double from Anthony Davis, who scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Kyshawn George added 25 points and Trae Young scored 18. The same two teams meet again on Friday in Atlanta in an NBA Cup game.
